The Butler County Cooperative Extension Service conducts informal educational programs. It is a part of the University of Kentucky and Kentucky State University Cooperative Extension Services. The programming is for the citizens of Butler County and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Educational programs can be in any area of expertise that the Universities have. The County Agents and Specialists in the county efforts are focused on agriculture, aquaculture, youth, and Family Consumer Sciences, rural and community development. Support for this program comes from the Butler County Fiscal Court, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the USDA.
